Vargas Face and Skin Hosts a Colorscience Make Up Event

In August of 2013, Vargas Face and Skin announced the addition of a number of Colorscience products to our in-house product line. (You can read all about it in the Colorscience blog article we wrote earlier.) Since then, we’ve seen a great outpouring of interest in the high-performance makeup line. So, in October, we decided to have a little Colorscience open house. And what a turnout it was!

What’s Colorscience?

If you’re new to the Colorscience line, it bears mentioning that the line was created by the same people who created the original Bare Escentuals Beauty line. The Colorscience product line was developed without caustic chemicals, alcohol, dyes, mineral oil, talc, or fragrance. Instead, this make-up line was engineered with pure, micronized minerals, peptides, and hyaluronic and salicylic acid. Many of the products we carry at Vargas Face and Skin feature amazing, non-caking, UVA- and UVB-resistant formulas. Colorscience has received a great deal of positive press from leading women’s magazines such as VOGUE, Marie Claire, Allure, and Seventeen.

As you can imagine, we’re pretty excited about this product line. We know that our clients take great care of their skin and always want to look their very best. We also know that our clients place a high importance on the quality of their makeup and skincare. So, we decided to host a makeup experience in our office, where clients could come in to learn about the Colorscience makeup line and pick up a few tips on how to best apply their makeup.

The event was attended by the Kansas City Area Colorscience expert Melissa Munoz and Lindsey Pratt, our own professional esthetician. Between the two of them, there were enough makeup pros on-hand to do makeup applications for all who attended. As stated earlier, the turnout was amazing. All the ladies who attended had a great time learning about the brand and its products. Everyone learned how the product line could be used to de-emphasize fine lines and wrinkles, as well as protect their skin from harmful sun rays. The event was such a fun experience for all, we’re thinking we might do it again sometime in the near future.
